OpenAI’s ChatGPT will soon have its own voice assistant, but Daily Show host Desi Lydic isn’t at all impressed.
In the clip above she plays a section of the GPT-4o demonstration video, which shows a man in an OpenAI hoodie chatting to a female-voiced AI that seems very happy to be talking to him.
“This is clearly programmed to feed dude’s egos,” sighs Lydic. “It was obvious she was faking it as soon as she complemented that hoodie. You can really tell that a man built this tech. She’s like, ‘I have all the information in the world, but I don’t know anything. Teach me, daddy.’”
